Title:

The Buffalo Park and Parkway System.

Description:

Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux designed Buffalo's original park and parkway system. In place by 1876, it was the first such system in the U.S. and included Delaware, Front, and Martin Luther King, Jr. parks and Bidwell, Chapin, and Lincoln Parkways. Later, Olmsted and his successors added South, Cazenovia and Riverside parksand the Southside parkways. The system is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
