Description:

The Medical School, founded in 1846 as the first unit of the University of Buffalo, moved from its second home on Main and Virginia Streets to this site in 1893. Designed by the architect George Cary, the elegant structure was modeled after the Palazzo Farnese in Rome. The school moved to the Main Street campus in 1953.
